News from the KCRD staff

3 May 2010

At the end of April, our dear colleague and staff member Louke van Wensveen left the Knowledge Centre (and Oikos) in order to become local councillor in Brummen (NL). She was the auctora intellectualis of Transforming Development and Light Development. We wish Louke all the best at her new position.

Two Interns

Last months, we had two students researching for the Knowledge Centre. Marlieke van der Sar focused on the effects of the KCRD Conference on Transforming Development in 2007. How has the conference influenced the daily work of the Dutch participants? She interviewed 12 participants and inquired whether they would recommend organising a sequel to the Transforming Development conference. Most participants were positive about organising a sequel, as they consider the attention for religion in their daily work very important, but there was no agreement about the form or theme.

Mariske Westendorp researched the Light Development concept. She helped us with the Light Development consultation and delivered a large contribution to the Light Development Wiki-site, see http://lightdevelopment.pbworks.com/.
