New website KCRD
1 February 2011
In February 2011, the Knowledge Centre Religion and Development has launched this new website. On this site, we provide knowledge concerning the relations between religion and development. Besides our familiar offer of knowledge, there are some new features to this site. A short summary of what we offer on this website:
- An introduction to the Knowledge Centre Religion and Development, both in English and in Dutch.
- Our digital newsletter, that is published two to three times a year. You can sign up to receive our newsletter by e-mail, soon you will be able to read our previously published newsletters.
- Updated news items, concerning amongst others knowledge about religion and development, activities of the KCRD and interesting publications.
- An extensive documentation centre, containing many relevant publications on religion and development.
- Publications of the Knowledge Centre Religion and Development and the Knowledge Forum Religion and Development Policy.
- Examples of Best Practices: organisations and projects which contribute to a international development and take into account the role of religion.
- Our contact information.
At the beginning of March, you will be able to read our Practitioner's Guide on an interactive platform on this site. This practical guide has been written for and by Dutch employees of development-aid organisations. It addresses them directly, but also contains their input. As professionals they can share important practical experiences with others. We hope that this book and this website contain examples that are familiar to you. We invite you to reflect repeatedly on the topics of this guide, so that employees of different development-aid organisations can learn from each other.
